Welcome to the Broken Hearted

Most of us are, or have been, broken hearted, one way or another.

For some it is clear to see; the loss of a loved one for instance.
For others it can be less clear; the absence of love in early life, the loss of loved ones through divorce, the loss of self esteem, the loss of a dream.
Other times we have to watch as someone or something we hold precious withers before our eyes.
Each of us knows our own loss; sometimes we see fault as ours, often we feel cheated and let down.

We can be left with a cry of pain, a deep ache that goes through to the core of our very being, an inner searing scream that comes back whenever we let ourselves see it.
People are not designed or intended to deal with this sort of pain by themselves

God is so very clear in his message that it is the role of the Christian Church to reach out to people who experience this sort of pain; at St James we have people who dedicate their time to help others.

Nothing can separate us from the healing love of God except our own response. God calls each of us by name – if he is currently tapping you on the shoulder – then you are most welcome here.

At St James we endeavour to meet the needs of people in different circumstances;
We have a traditional form of service in the church, normally at 9.00 am each Sunday
We have a more open family service in the barn, normally at 10.30 am each Sunday
Within both there is always the opportunity to ask for personal help
